If you have become interested in our initiative and feel inspired, you also can make a contribution. It isn’t difficult and doesn’t necessarily take a lot of time or money. You can choose from the following two options:

1. Becoming a volunteer in the town of Lircay
You are welcome to come and participate in the volunteering opportunities in and around the town of Lircay. We no longer offer a fixed program; in stead, we discuss the wishes and possibilities with participants. In general, you are free to come when you like, for as long as you like. You do however have to contact us through e-mail or by telephone beforehand, to make the necessary arrangements. We advise you to make sure that you are properly ensured and preferably inform yourself on Peru, so you have a good idea on what is ahead. If you have any doubt please don’t hesitate to contact us.
The estimated cost of volunteering in and around Lircay is estimated at about US $ 10,00 to US $ 15,00 a day, including language classes, accommodation, local transport and most of the meals. You are asked to pay in Lircay, or make a bank transfer in advance. Please note that there are no cash machines in Lircay!
If it isn’t a problem to pay in advance, the easiest way is paying by means of an internet transfer of your bank account. This is especially convenient for people who aren’t in their country of residence. For people from the EU it is possible to make a transfer at the counter of your bank or through internet. Bank transfers within the EU are free.
2. Make a donation
As an organization or individual that isn’t accustomed to make donations, or is used to make an annual contribution to a large global organization, you might be in for a change. Intercambioperu offers you the opportunity to contribute to very concrete projects in Peru, like for instance the provision of school materials for kids living in extremely poor conditions or the construction of a disabled centre. We are a registered foundation in The Netherlands without large overhead costs and because of this we can guarantee a very high efficiency on our spending.
Moreover we will give a continuous update on the progress of the projects through our website and make public our annual account. It is also possible for people to come and take a look for themselves.
An interesting option could be to consult your colleagues at work and propose to make a collective donation as a company for Christmas rather than receive your Christmas hamper full of stuff you really won’t use anyway. Intercambioperu in turn can supply a poster or other materials to your organization and beneficiaries of the project, emphasizing this special commitment.
